Overview of Services

The Protein Production, Characterization and Molecular Interaction (PPCMI) core provides cloning, expression, and purification services of functional proteins at a scale that meets the quantity and purity benchmarks for structural, biophysical, biochemical, and therapeutics studies. For protein production services, the core assures that (1) highly standardized processes ensure efficiency; (2) rapid turnaround times keep you advancing; (3) customizable offerings meet your project’s unique needs; and (4) a focus on quality gives you confidence and peace of mind.

Services:

• Guaranteed Bacterial Protein Expression Service Package: Customers just provide protein sequence (protein sequences are subject to pre-project analysis, and exclusions are applicable to membrane proteins, toxic proteins and target proteins larger than 1,000 amino acids) and our core will deliver the protein with the amount and purity which were specified by the customers. In case we fail on either the amount or purity as specified, there is no charge to the customer whatsoever.
• Customized Protein Service Package / Gene-To-Protein Package: Recombinant protein production for a variety of difficult-to-express targets such as transmembrane proteins, toxins, receptors, and ion channel proteins may not be easy or straightforward, and usually the optimization process is labor tedious and time consuming. To address some of the uncertainties and challenges associated with protein expression and purification, the core facility offers cutting-edge solutions by leveraging its experience and expertise to provide customized bacterial expression services. This customized protein service, as a one-stop service platform from gene to protein, is ideal for challenging and difficult-to-express proteins, as well as flexible and affordable to meet customers’ demands.
• Guaranteed Antibody Fragment Services: Antibody fragments, in particular scFvs, Fabs, and VHH/VH retain full antigen-binding capacity and superior properties for research, diagnostic, and therapeutic applications. We offer the guaranteed antibody fragment services that provide high-quality soluble antibody fragments at very competitive prices and timelines. Customers simply provide us with the protein sequence of the antibody fragment and we will take care of the whole process from gene synthesis to final purified antibody fragment.
