PAS staining |
PAS: Primarily stain glycogen in muscle, but also other polysaccharides, neutral mucopolysaccharides, muco- and glycoproteins, glycolipids, and some unsaturated lipids and phospholipids. The glycogen is demonstrated with Schiff reagent (fuchsin-sulfurous acid), which produces a reddish-purple stain and a fibre-type pattern. Available with either Alcian Blue or light green.
