These are Center for Infrastructure Renewal (CIR) equipment items that can be used to analyze and build single and composite materials that support infrastructure. Using advanced micro/nano-analytical techniques and non-destructive evaluation, the Advanced Characterization of Infrastructure Materials (ACIM) Lab and other CIR facilities provide equipment and computational power for the characterization of aggregates, bitumen, cement, asphalt and cement composites, soil and other related construction materials. Most of these items are located in the ACIM lab, but others are located in the various laboratory facilities around the CIR.
